My little baby broke her arm! She's been on this "upset stomach" kick at school so when I saw the nurse call at 9ish, I thought.. you've got to be kidding me, already?! Luckily I answered and I heard the panic in Nurse Pam's voice. She's so precious. She apologized for calling then said I think you need to head this way, sweet Emmy fell off the monkey bars and she might need x-rays.
So I took off and when I got to the school she was still crying, clutching this Clifford and Nurse Pam was wrapping her up in a sling. We went to Ortho Arkansas which has an urgent care and let me just say, it's amazing. We are lucky to have this! We were in and out in less than an hour.
Back out with Clifford. Her X ray is below and I really don't remember what she broke. But we dodged surgery!
We went home, rested, ate, and snuggled. She was a trooper! I was so worried about Emmy but she proved me wrong over and over again. She did such a great job for the 6ish weeks she was in a cast. She actually broke her arm the week after soccer ended and then was healed by basketball. So wild.
Luckily we had some of those patches left from sissy's birthday :)
Friends on Fun Run day. Ruthie had a hurt foot so it helped to have a buddy on the sideline with her :) and Ruthie has also had a broken arm so she gave all the good tips!
..still silly.
Back to the Dr. and seeing the swelling go down and healing start! She wore the soft cast for a week or so before getting a hard cast. And then had to recast again cause the swelling went down even more.
She's precious!
Never far from baby Billy!
Then on Thanksgiving break we went in for a check-up and came out with no cast! Which almost terrified me more. She did great and had no issues after. My big, strong girl! XOXO
