I've been sharing life here since 2009. What started as a place to post recipes and DIY projects has grown right alongside me into a space where I share our family adventures, home projects, favorite recipes, travel, celebrations, traditions, and all the things I love and want to remember forever!
A little about me...
I'm (almost) 14 years married to my husband, Brian, and together we're raising our two girls, Kate and Emily, in Arkansas. I work full time, so this little corner of the internet has always been my creative outlet. I love dreaming up my next project, whether it's redoing a room, planning a trip, hosting friends, or tackling a fun DIY.
Things about me:
🌿 Plants: I have more houseplants than any one person probably needs.
🀄 Mahj: you can almost always convince me to play one more round of Mahjong.
🎉 Party-planning: I believe every party deserves a theme!
☕ Coffee: my favorite mornings start with coffee on the patio, surrounded by my plants.
🏡 Home projects and decorating: Always changing out the rug, the lamp shade, or DIY'ing it myself
🚤 Lake weekends: especially a sunset cruise. My fav!
✈️ Travel: without the kids is fun but we've hit our groove with our little travel companions!
🛍️ Antique stores: really nothing is better, I never pass up a good antique store.
🍸 Cocktails with friends: preferably on a patio, while playing bunco, or mahj'ing.

And PS. I grew up in the days of E! on repeat and was a big fan of Chelsea Lately... which is how I landed on Alex Lately. In that same vein, Gossip Girl was always a favorite and to this day, I still sign off on all my posts with XOXO. And, yes... every single time, I'm hearing, "you know you love me."
