We had the very best 4th of July this year! It was laid back, chill, and literally got chilly one night! We went to the lake for the weekend. My parents and her sister, my aunt Toni and uncle Dennis joined us. We cooked good food and took it easy. The fireworks were so good this year!
Before we left, I grabbed this picture of Emily's new favorite thing to do. Assign everyone tasks via the Skylight. The spelling is the best thing.
Off to the lake and immediately the girls got Boompa on ChatGPT! I took a nap when we got there and woke up to a million texts from my dad of the following...

OK so moving on to the lake. We ate dinner and then took an evening cruise. One of my favorite parts!
The next morning, we got and went out on the 4th and Clark and Alex joined us. We stayed out for a while. Tied up with some friends, swam and ate my delish egg salad. I'm going to have to post that recipe soon. Emily was especially patriotic! She carried this flag with her everywhere.

We went back to the house right as it started to storm. The wind blew so much! We took lovely naps, ate a delish dinner and then went back to the water for the fireworks. It got SO cool. Luckily I took a sweater and mom and dad had some sweatshirts at the house for the rest of us. Brian, Kate and Emily swam for a while then we watched the show.
