Christmas Eve 2025

24 April 2026

Christmas Eve has always been one of my favorites! The last two years we've hosted and the Hall and Holland Families have joined us for dinner, dirty santa, and kid gifts! It's so much fun and I really love this tradition we've started.

But before Christmas Eve, here's our silly Elf the night before-- the girls woke up to this on Christmas Eve. They really enjoyed the outfits this year. I think Starry wore the disco outfit for a few days! +++ the stinkin baby elves that they asked for over and over and over again. Do you know how long it took to find these stinkers?!

We usually are lazy and slow in the morning. Brian went to play basketball and the girls ended up taking our little neighbor gifts around. I've blogged it but we made homemade vanilla for everyone this year!

Flat Porcelli making the rounds :)

then it was on to making the dough for our Christmas morning cinnamon rolls! For the second year, the girls have joined me in the kitchen. They work on a Christmas craft while I bake :)

...and finish my mimosa from brunch.

Maybe those were out of order. When Brian got home, we had brunch. This year we went for eggs benedict and our english muffins did not come so we used toast instead. The girls preferred that. I made my festive orange juice molds with pomegranate seeds included.

...flat Porcelli never far.

We ended up going to the 5pm church service. They switched up our times some this year and we were worried about being home too late to cook. But it ended up working out just fine.

the girls were precious

it was warm and we were able to get away with wearing short sleeves.

Kate and Emily worked on the cards. I realized on Christmas eve that I didn't get placemats and I really wanted the santa ones I had seen at eggshells. So we went there and they were sold out! Hit the social type and found them! Plus these cute little place cards. The girls had a blast making them and now set them out for almost every meal.

We had a ham from Christian, I made green bean bundles, and French-style carrots, Molly and Christian brought mac and cheese and Lauren and Josh covered dessert.

The girls love opening a gift on Christmas Eve. I guess actually they got two! I always loved this so much as kid!

Lucy got Anna!

Emmy got a locker for her doll. And was so excited!

so cute!

then the kids hit the culdesac.. actually I think we made reindeer food. The Cherry's came over to make and we went a little wild on the glitter. Brian still claims that we have some left in our yard..

..and then things got wild! We had a hard time getting these kids to settle down and get ready for bed.

..attempting to get a picture of the kids was tough.

then we added three more!

The funniest part of all. Kate started cleaning and subtly kicking everyone out because she was ready for Santa to come. It was so precious.

matching jammies and snuggle time. Tracking Santa and getting the cookies and carrots ready.

And then another fav... the kids go to sleep, Brian and I get everything ready, sit down and have a cocktail and list to Christmas music. I don't think there is a more perfect day. I love it so much!

XOXO
