Emmy Durl - Month 6

23 November 2019

Emily you are six months! Six whole perfect, precious months with our sweet, adorable, perfect little girl. I don't know how we got so lucky to have such a wonderful, chill baby but we do. And you are the perfect piece to our little family of four. Half of a year with you has been the absolute best. And it's so perfect how the months just keep getting sweeter.

You are constantly smiling. If you aren't smiling we know you are sleepy. Cause even when you are the poopiest of the poopy, you are still smiling. Your teachers think this is so funny. You will have the worst blow out ever and will still be doing "the Emily." Smiling, kicking your feet, moving your arms and sometimes talking.

All about chewing our fingers right now. Really everything in sight. Sister still doesn't get that you are just chewing and immediately takes anything away from you that you put in your mouth and yells, "DON'T EAT IT EMMY, DON'T EAT IT!!!" I actually walked in to her shaking her finger in your face while saying it the other day.

And I love, love, love this picture below. You love this thing and will play forever. Especially when sister comes over and joins you.

How sweet can pictures get? Asking for a friend.

This is another one of your favorite toys and will keep you occupied for the longest time. You grab and you swat and you pull. And you kick the piano. The piano is your favorite on both items. We call you DJ Emmy all the time!

We spent our first nights away from you this month. Mommy and daddy went to New York for a long weekend. It was tough but a little easier than I anticipated. You actually sat up like this the night before we left and you've just improved with your skills ever since. You want to sit up so bad so I know you are trying to stay up. You look so grown when you sit!

I love this picture even if it is a little blurry. This is the Emmy I see all the time. My happy, happy girl!

You don't love food yet. It's been a struggle to get you to swallow.  It mainly just ends up all over your face and on your clothes. Cause you spit most out. But you look adorable doing it.

You went to the zoo for the very first time. Sister had a birthday party and we tagged along. You pooped yourself immediately when we got there and it was probably the worst I've ever seen. Your smart mommy forgot an extra set of clothes so we bundled up in your jacket and a blanket. You were such a good girl.

You are really starting to move and attempt to scoot. You made it from your piano mat to underneath the couch the other day. It made me laugh. You were still kicking your legs but booty stuck. Didn't seem to care because that smile never left your face.

And pictures of sleeping babies never get old. Especially with that sweet thumb in your mouth. Plus I don't mind rocking you to sleep. You are a sweet baby who is so patient and sweet. We love you so much little girl! I can't wait to see how you grow and learn in the next 6 months. You watch sister all the time and I can tell want to be bouncing and running right alongside her. Watching your relationship grow makes my heart so happy. Your kisses are the best and you are really getting excellent at big, open mouthed, slobbery kisses! We love them and YOU-- our big 6 month old!!
XOXO
