We had a really fun Memorial Day weekend last year with the Lar family in Branson. They rented this amazing house near Silver Dollar City-- we ate fun meals and did an entire day at the park. The resort we stayed at had this amazing pool also with slides and a lazy river. The girls were in absolute heaven!
The girls were out of school on Friday and had to waste time with Brian in the morning until they joined me at work for our annual beef, egg, and strawberry cookout. It was fun to have them there and Emily tried roping.. which was highly entertaining.
Once I was off work, we headed north to meet the Lars. We met them at some dive bar down the street from where we stayed. It was a lot of fun. The kids stayed up and danced to the music and it was just nice to be around such good friends.
The next morning, we hit Silver Dollar City! The first stop was some massive rollercoaster which Kate ALMOST rode and in hindsight, we're so glad she didn't. I was the kiddo handler while the adults and Ethan rode the coaster.
On to little kid rides and this one almost made every single one of us sick.

The next day we hit Fun Mountain at Big Cedar. Morning bowling with cocktails. Which was so fun! Emmy won and she made sure every single person knew.
We ate a long lunch, played laser tag, ran around outside, did the indoor slide thing seven-hundred times. Emmy spent every single dollar to our name trying to win a squishmallow in the claw game. Brian (that sucker) couldn't tell her no.
We played a lot of marbles, drank good wine, relaxed and always SO enjoy our time with these friends. XOXO
