This pie so amazingly fantastic, you will want it all the time. My friend Renee made us one and delivered it after the tornado. We could not decide what it was and we also couldn't stop eating. I finally asked and she was gracious enough to give me her recipe. This is not what comes up when you google so make sure you save this one!
This is also so easy to make! The first time I made it I used my stand mixer. The last few times I've just mixed up with a fork in a bowl. I do buy a premade crust-- the Pillsbury roll out one. You're going to want this over and over again!
Also, credit to Renee Mallory-- the lady behind this lovely, perfect pie!
Ingredients
2 cups sugar
1/3 cup flour
4 eggs
stick of butter - not too hot
1 cup buttermilk
2 teaspoons vanilla
frozen crust or Pillsbury refrigerated crust
Instructions
Mix together the sugar and flour with a fork. Add the eggs and mix until blended. Add the butter and mix slow until blended. Add the buttermilk and vanilla and mix.
Coat the bottom with some egg white then pour mix into crust. Bake at 340 until middle is done. Usually takes 45 minutes to an hour. Better if it gets brown on top!
Thank you Renee for sharing this slice of heaven! XOXO
