Spring Weekend in NWA

03 April 2022

We love a good trip to NWA! Last weekend we took a quick trip up to visit family and spend some time with friends. The girls had an absolute blast and the tunnel is still just as exciting as it was the first time! :)

When we got to town, we went straight to Wilson Park. Needed to burn off that three hour drive energy. It was a beautiful day and the park was packed. Our new favorite game is "race to daddy."  As seen in the picture after next. Smart parenting if you ask me.

After the park, we went to a fancy NWA Walmart to pick up grandma and nonno's groceries-- they really are nicer up here! And then to visit and eat dinner with my grandparents. The girls were terrific and colored with grandma. They asked to watch Disney+ after a while. I know, I know. I had to explain that grandma has cable and she has the OG Disney. Which we watched-- we also learned about commercial (foreign to 3 and 4 year olds!) and when the show switches to the next program.. no we can't go back and watch more bluey because mickey is on now! Hard life lessons taught.

Nonno up to his old smiling self and making Kate run for cover!

Love these!

The next morning we met the Lars at the Amazeum in Bentonville. It was fantastic! The kids had a blast, there were so many fun things to do!

They loved this little camera that immediately posted you picture. We did it at least 20 times!

Emily was obsessed with the water area. Wasn't sure we would ever get her out. She found this basket and would fill the entire thing- sometimes with the help of a friend- and then launch all the balls. She could have done it alllll day long.

Kate was very fond of the "grocery store." It took us a while to snag a basket, but once we did she was thrilled. She would have stayed here the entire time. These girls are so opposite!

But leave it to Emily to grab allll the milk!

Loved the painting. Wish we had one of these at home!

I love a good hand hold picture. And the one below! Reminds me a of a first date. Just need the shy wave for mom to leave.

Sweet babes are finally sleeping together and it can only get easier from here. RIGHT?! After the kiddos went to sleep, I made cookies. And had SO. MUCH. DOUGH. So I went for a razorback shaped cookie cake since they were playing ball that night. Looks much better before it went in-- he came out super plump cooked :)

Had to grab a sweet picture of the kiddos before we left. We took one just like this last summer before Harrison joined the crew. This is going to be a new tradition! Love spending time with this family and watching the little ones become buddies. Can't wait until the next trip!
