I think the hardest for me is to forgive without punishing, it's so hard to be hurt and then just let it go. I think no matter how hard you try you always remember what has happened. I need to work on that because I want others to forgive me.... and how fair is it to want what you can't/won't do? "to be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because GOD has forgiven the inexcusable in you." That has to be one of my favorite sayings/quotes/whatever... it's so simple and so true. I need to tattoo it on my arm!

I got to go to D.C. a few weeks ago for work... the weather was fabulous and I had a blast. When I got back Sydney and Whitney came down to El Do for Musicfest... we went to see Boyz II Men in concert and they were AMAZZINNNG!!!

So yesterday I was on my way to Warren for a meeting and I stopped in Hampton at the frame shop to pick up some things my mom got framed. As I turned in I notice they put in a new BBQ place in the shop... "BOB-A-LOU'S"

I immediately DIE laughing! When I was young for some reason (think it was in a song or something?) my dad called my bobalouie and i hated it. Like would cry, throw a fit and yell, "don't call me bobalobieeeee!!" (I couldn't say it either, obvs)

Still to this day my dad will start yelling, "don't call me bobbballouubiiee!!!......"

This past weekend we went to Dallas to celebrate JRam's upcoming wedding~ woo hoo, bachelorette party! I had so much fun getting to spend the weekend with fabulous friends. We rented a party bus drove around Dallas most of the night, so much fun! Picture time!

So we went downstairs to get the hotel to call us a cab and one of the men asked what we were all dressed up for, when we told him a bachelorette party, he said, "why don't i just put y'all in a limo?!" OKAY!

Hello! I wanted to share some pics from my weekend~ so much fun!

Saturday morning we had appointments to try on bridesmaid dresses for Whitneys wedding and Whit tried on lots of fabulous wedding dresses!

So we get to davids bridal and you know they have one of each size in random colors, Sydney got to try on this beauty... in her FAV color....

Kristina and I got the same color... which I think this was my favorite dress that we tried on all day. Except Whit wants us in dark purple...

OMG, I am sooo addicted to pinterest! Stacey from work introduced it to me and I think i've gotten about 99% of my friends hooked, LOVE IT! I've got all these ideas to try, here are some of the ones I've already done.... some i haven't taken pics of though :(

The boss was in the state most all of August and we had so much fun visiting the southern part of the state. I got to go to my first hog farm! We got to wear those full white body suits, a few layers of plastic boots, masks, and gloves... seriously took me about 5 shampoos to get the smell out of my hair. That scent was foul and I'd be okay if I never went back.

We also go to visit a watermelon farm with tons of cows and gators, first bakery ever... it was really neat, they make all the breadsticks for fazolis and that cinnabon bread you see at the grocery... lots of stuff i've seen a million times but had no idea it came from Hope, AR! Pretty sweet, here's some pics....

I read this the other day and really liked it so I figured I'd share. Good thing i've got 1.5 years to learn all these...

1. Being an adult can be fun when you are acting like a child.

2. Love has nothing to do with looks, but everything to do with time, trust in interest.

So my sister is getting married next month... Her and Josh have been dating for like 8 years so it's long overdue. Anyway, we celebrated this weekend in Nashville.. we got a stretch hummer and about 16 of her friends got together! It was fun! We didn't have a sun roof so we made our own, it was actually an emergency exit but we used it anyway. Allison and I were out of the "sunroof" going down broadway.... until we got pulled over and surrounded by cops. Am I just bad luck?!

I FORGOT THE BEST RIDE I'VE EVER HAD!

I can't believe I made that list and left of my 5th car! Actually it would be my 4th because it came before my new Altima.

I got this one in May 2009.
NUMBER 4: Honda Element (I have no idea what year)

I sure hope you aren't jealous! Don't be... it's not technically mine... it's my work car. or SUV.. or crossover... I really don't know what it is?!

Anyway, I've had a lot of people tell me the appeal of the box on wheels is that you can open up the doors... like so....

And just hose the thing out when it's dirty. Yeah, that's exactly what I want. A car I can just take a hose to the inside. Forget luxury or nice soft carpets when I want to take my shoes off... give me some rubber floor board and the worst handling car/suv/crossover i'll ever drive. thanks honda.... for nothing.

Okay, so I gave up facebook for Lent.. tonight I'm bored so here I am! Blogging. I saw this car history thing on Sydneys blog a while back and thought it would be fun so here it goes....

First Car..... 1999 Dodge Stratus

I absolutely hated this car! Lauren got it first in like 2000... it was a bank repo. It was practically brand new, no miles on the thing. This isn't the actual car. I google imaged all of these but this is so close to the real deal! We called it the ghetto sled or the ghetto wagon. It had really illegal dark tinted windows and then it had those window guards. We took those off quick. Mine looked the same except had a power cat on the front. This car was a boss, we got like 10 people in it at one time. It saw sooooo many memories. If they wouldn't embaress people I would have to list them all!! Danielle got one just the same, except it was called a plymoth breeze. We had twin cars, except her trunk was filled with about 40 to 50 street cones and magnets from every union county schoool. good times! Anyway, I totaled it my Senior year on Agnes Road. Dangit.

Car #2... 2000 Infiniti Q45

I inherited this one from my dad after I totaled the dodge. I'd say I faired pretty well. This car was like luxury to a "t" but it was better suited for a 50 year old man than a 17 year old girl who has already wrecked one car. It had 180 on the dash, tempting. It was like a V8 and took the most expensive gas but it was awesome. Somehow I ended up busting one of the speakers and I broke the 6 disc changer in the back... not long after the cd player in the front decided it wouldn't play burnt cds. It had this awesome shade in the back... one touch that puppy was up, blockin out the sun.. pretty awesome. It also had this gorgeous wood grain and a cute little non digital clock. Nice car, but we traded it for the next when I went to college. It was getting some miles on it and dad didn't want me going off to school with an older car. Introducing number 3.... wow, that's a lot for an 18 year old.

Car #3... 2005 Nissan Altima

I got this for graduation I guess you could say. The next week I got mono and was in bed for about 2 months. I just got to look at it! It was soooo sad! When I got it, it only had like 12 miles on it. Dad just said, "you want it?" ummm, of course! they washed it and it was mine! About a month later the Margis' put a spoiler on it for my graduation gift from them. Here's the deal with my dad, he says you can have any car you want as long as it's a nissan and it's a car.. but no maxima. UMMM, what else is there? Anyway, this car was awesome... it stuck with me all though college. Made lots of fun roadtrips... to Arkadelphia every week, sometimes twice, to the spring river... awesome. Beach trips, trips to visit friends... you name it. The best night I remember in ole black was bid night. There were like 7 of us piled in there... I didn't know any of them! I made them listen to Hanson and they LOVED it! We listed to "I Will Come to You!" and then we almost ran out of gas... my car is like blinking 2 miles til empty! Scary. I never had a problem with this car, I even hit a car on Cantrell one day... slammed into it... like seriously hard... it did nothing. You couldn't even tell. The worst thing that happened was I broke like 5 licences plates on this car. No one ever knew who I was cause my plate changed... a lot. Dang garages. She held on tight... 5 long years and only like 75,000 miles. That's good, right? Anyway, she was laid to rest last September when I got t-boned on the highway. You can find that pic farther down. Poor baby, may you rest in peace.

That brings us to CAR #4... good gracoius!

2009 Altima Coupe

Now this one is fun! Not many memories, yet... but I've always wanted a 2 door car. I love the interior and I have a sunroof again, yay! I got it about mid-September. We haven't gone many places yet but it still smells so brand new, i love that. And it's totally cool cause it's got that push button start and no key. I NEVER have to pull out my keys... it's so high-tech!

There's my history... wasn't that fun. Hopefully we won't add a 5th to the list any time soon!! fingers crossed. Also, I gotta say I'm pretty lucky, I've never had a bad car. I hated the status but it wasn't bad. So thanks mom and dad. I sure do LOVE ya!

I've voted for Kris Allen on American Idol a ridiculous amount of times... I lost count around 650...... I have NO life tonight.. but I really want him to win and I found out how to send 10 at a time so it's not that bad..... right?!

Ahh, I doo nott like Miley Cyrus or her voice but something about the lyrics in that stupid song I like.. hence the title. Did I mention how excited I am about this weekend?! I AM! I bought a lot of music last night so I can make a crunk CD for the way to Conway! Since I left myiPod in my moms car I can only use CD's now and XM doesn't always play all my favs! :(

Boy, I'm going to have to work on my vocabulary if I'm going to be on the nightly news now :) Anyway, I am really exciteed because JRam is coming to FayettevilleFriday night and then we're headed to Conway on Saturday to celebrate my birthday with all of my friends there! So there is week one of my month long birthday celebration. AND I can celebrate getting my dream job, wooo hoo! Life is good! SO GOOD!

Anyway, here's a little about my job because you know I'm dying to talk about it. I will be working for KTVE which is located in the Monroe, LA/El Dorado, AR market. I will cover Arkansas news.. mainly just the southern part of Arkansas. I am sooo excited. They haven't broadcast news out of El Dorado for a really long time now so it's great to get it back up and going. Especially since there is still a studio, etc. So start thinking of story ideas and email them to me and follow me on twitter because you know I'll be updating so viewers can follow me every step of the way. You can find me @alexandrahale. I start May 11th and couldn't be more excited and proud of myself.

I still don't feel like it's real. I feel like this is a huge joke someone is playing on me like "haha we're going to tell you that you have a job but you don't!" It's honestly a dream come true... years in the making. And I'm so thankful for all the congrats I've gotten in the past two days. My phone actually went dead yesterday and that thing has one heck of a battery life! It's soooo rewarding to finally accomplish a goal I've had for years. I just pray for strength as I embark on this adventure! ahhhh!!

Anyway, I got off work early today and Rusty called me to come meet him at best buy to look at cameras. I needed his expert opinion... finally I chose the most perfect camera. It's weatherproof and shockproof! Now I can drop it allllll I want and my friends can drop it all the want and I will be just fine. I can also take pictures underwater :) Pretty sweet, eehh? Then we went and had a couple drinks and decided to go visit his friend and get some haircuts, yay! I needed one! Hallelujah!

I guess I can close the day as a happy girl! AND matt and kris were safe on IDOL! What more really can a girl ask for?! Can I just say one more time that... GOD IS GOOD!

I got a job! I got a job! I got a job! After 8 months of applying and hearing nothing I officially accepted a job yesterday with KTVE Channel 10 in Monroe, LA/El Dorado, AR. I'll sign on as a full time General Assignment Reporter serving the ArkLaMiss region!

I am sooo SOOOOOO soooo freakin excited I can't explain my excitement to you! Thank you Lord, You are good! A dream just came true for me today, after 4 years of school and commitment to broadcast journalism..... I've finally made it! Thank you, thank you, thank you LORD! You are good!

random things i've learned about myself.. and life.

I'm not good at this blog business but here are some random tid bits... things I've learned or that I now know about myself! :) enjoy!

-i would be a bomb investigator! Not as in bomb, tick tick but as in I have excellent stalker skills and intuition :)
-I've finally come to realize that I don't need the people who have walked out of my life. If they are important enough, they come back and if not then I'm better off.
-music changes my mood, always.. for the better!
- i make decisions quicker than most. if i think it, i usually do it- there's no changing my mind once it's there.
-someday i want to be in entertainment news- not as in follow around celebs but as in music.
- i wouldn't mind being a personal shopper. please.
- i have ridiculously inconsistent taste... in music, boys, clothes, anything and everything. if you look at all the boys i've dated i don't think any have anything in common. also, some days i look like i stepped out of banana republic and others i have a punk/emo look.. and everywhere in between.
-i generally have a better day if my alarm is set to so small by matt giraud to wake me up! true story. or good morning beautiful :)
-i have to lay with my head and shoulders hanging off the bed each night for at least 2 minutes. it's the best, really... try it.
-my cell phone isn't my favorite thing. i screen, hard core now days. that is if i even get up to get it.
-my mom is waaay more like me than i would have ever imagined. or vice versa.... she's my best friend actually. i can tell her everything and she's just as silly and random as i am.
- i could eat a chicken berry salad everyday!
-i CAN NOT make plans. i think my hair turns gray trying to. i hate it!
-i hardly cry sad tears anymore, but then again i don't have anything to be sad about!
-i enjoy non slobbery animals now :) thats huuge!
-the feeling of helping someone is the best to me! even if it's something so simple, i try to smile at everyone i pass cause you never know whats going on in their life. maybe they need a smile!
- i've learned everyone has the right to THEIR OWN OPINION! who cares if they are up for miss usa.. if she doesn't think it's right then she doesn't... drop it!
-I LOVE a challenge! especially when it comes to relationships--weird i know. but i also have a hard time wanting things once i get them.
-i'm a pro at arguing. with myself or others-- i can talk myself into doing anything. good and bad.
-the best thing i've learned is that at the end of the day i know the truth about myself and my feelings and that's all that matters. only the One above me can judge me!
-finally, for today at least..... good things come to those who wait! :) :)
